Iganga. A High Court criminal session begun in Iganga. The session is expected to handle a back load of capital offenses,some as old as 2010. The one-month long criminal session will be presided over by Hon. Justice Michael Elubu.

According to the Cause List signed by the Jinja Deputy Registrar, HW Jesse Byaruhanga, out of the 40 cases to be heard, 15 are Murder cases, 13 are Aggravated Defilement, seven are Aggravated Robbery and five are Rape cases.

The cases arise from Mayuge, Bugiri, Iganga, Kaliro and Luuka districts.

The session which began on January 15 will end on February 15.
